John’s passion is navigating the profoundly complex maze of tax laws to provide intelligent and insightful guidance that is critical for business and personal success. He is an expert in partnership, small business, and family taxation, estate and gift taxation. He also has significant experience in real estate taxation, like-kind exchanges, business valuation, and much, much more.
His clients count on him for his sound financial advice and wisdom in handling the sensitive financial issues that are inherent in family-owned business, estate planning and trusts. He often acts as controller, chief financial officer, financial advisor and business consultant for his clients. It’s no wonder John has been designated a Super CPA by Twin Cities Business Monthly and Minnesota Law & Politics.
John graduated from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, is a native of Mendota Heights and lives in Minnetonka with his wife, Beth. They have two children, David and Andrew, and one schnauzer, two adult Briards and several Briard puppies. An avid biker and sports enthusiast, John spends much of his time pursuing physical and other outdoor activity.
